Paid Performance Director

Role: Paid Performance Director 

Location: London

Salary: Up to £55,000 

This is an exciting AD role that will predominately work across one of the world’s leading dating companies and one of the largest clients across the company Village. This position has been newly created on the back of winning this client following a major new business process.

The principal elements of the role will be to work with our Performance BD and manage a small team, including a Paid Performance Manager and an Executive.

You will be the channel lead on this client and responsible for meeting client delivery and targets. Your role will span campaign implementation, analysis, optimization, delivery, and evaluation across paid search, YouTube, and the GDN. You will also need to take an active, leading role on strategy for this client too. This is a global client and delivery for these channels will be centralized through our London office, so this will involve multi-market activation.

There will be a heavy client facing element to this role, as you’ll be required to attend weekly calls/meetings and lead on larger monthly and quarterly meetings, with the support of your line manager. As such, it’s essential you feel comfortable with clients, have strong communication skills, a proactive attitude and a real hunger for success.

CAPABILITIES 

  • Responsible for the creation and management of paid search, YouTube, and GDN campaigns to effectively deliver client objectives and targets.
  • Drive best practices on your clients, and through your team; specifically, improving the quality of campaign delivery, innovation, and automation.
  • Be a digital leader, engaging in knowledge sharing with your peers across the group.
  • Oversee and manage the optimization of campaigns through the utilisation of bid management tools.
  • Developing and planning holistic paid performance strategies largely independently.
  • Overseeing and/or executing the optimization of campaigns, both manual and automated.
  • Developing a rich understanding of your clients’ audience and the consumer journey.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new solutions to clients or productise existing capabilities to new streams of agency revenues.
  • Helping to drive innovation and creative solutions, ensuring media firsts and beta use.
  • Overseeing accurate and timely finance administration and budgeting.
  • Being day-to-day contact for clients in Performance. Leading, maintaining and growing strong relationships with relevant client stakeholders.
  • Client facing presentations on strategy, campaign recommendations and results.
  • Maintain development plans, roadmaps, and media plans.
  • Contribute to new business prospecting and business development meetings.
  • Manage personal development plans for direct reports, ensuring SMART objectives are set.
  • Develop expertise, tech knowledge and all-round skill set of all your direct reports.
  • Own the profitability of your client portfolio and team.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

  • 4-5 years’ experience within a Performance remit, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Management experience is essential.
  • Proven experience in working with enterprise-level clients and large budgets.
  • Proven experience across PPC, YouTube, and GDN (fine if bought via Google Ads vs. DV360)
  • Commercial experience, responsibility/exposure for clients or team.
  • Must be able to communicate well and manage client expectations.
  • Passion for, and a wide understanding of, all aspects of digital media.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload across your team.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Thorough attention to detail.
