I am working in partnership on an extremely interesting new SEO Manager opportunity with a fantastic forward thinking business. The company provides music and performance studios across various locations, operating in 4 countries, Germany, United States, Germany and United Kingdom.
The opportunity:
- Founded in 2015, they are a business who are in extreme growth mode
- Have gone various rounds of funding to date and currently going through their latest which has raised up to £6 Million!
- Currently have 750 Studios and plans to increase to 2,500 Studios
- With the latest funding coming a huge part of that is being put into the marketing, media and tech team!
- A great company culture where everyone buys into the product. Who doesn’t like music??
- Advanced in-house tech platforms and currently in process of creating an App to make it is a easy possible for customers to book studio time and share music!
The Role:
- Drive and execute the SEO strategy in boosting efficiencies and growing YoY organic search traffic covering all areas of SEO including technical, on-site and off-site.
- Responsible for adapting the global strategy for new markets. This entails not just using SEO related data, but also to dive deeper into market research / UX research related methods to ensure the right prioritisation of topics in the content roadmap.
- Responsible for key landing page position and growth in SERP across every new and existing market as we expand
- Producing technical audits and recommendations to ensure engines are able to effectively crawl and index our content including hygiene tasks such as: o Content pruning o Optimization of internal links o Correction of 4xx, 3xx links o Featured snippet hunting o CTR optimizations
- Build and execute against an experiment backlog, implement a ‘test and learn’ approach to identify high-impact projects.
- Perform keyword research, and content analysis across our global sites to help identify areas of opportunity.
- Proactively working with the engineering team to consistently deliver best practice on-page SEO
- Shape our global strategy, to make sure that we are moving to becoming synonymous with in the area of “music” across all regions and languages as well as short/long-tail KW optimisation
- Regularly audit competitors to identify SEO/content strategy opportunity
- Collaborate with our team of freelancers in the delivery of our content strategy based on SEO research, performance, trends, and insights.
- Collaborate with product, engineering teams and other marketing channels to identify synergies, maximise growth impact, and align strategically.
- Develop link building strategies aligned with our business goals and brand’s voice.
- Serve as an SEO ambassador within the business to help enhance the SEO channel’s potential, striving to be the first to know of new updates and changes and how they will impact the business
Skills Required
- 4+ years’ experience working as a SEO marketer and can demonstrate a track record of generating growth in organic acquisition (across all areas of organic optimisation including on-site, off-site and technical optimisation)
- Experienced in driving tangible SEO growth on a global scale and in multiple languages and markets
- Excellent knowledge of current SEO best practices (on-site, tech and off-site)
- Experienced in working with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs and other SEO tools.
- A passion for A/B testing to consistently optimise to the best result
- A strong analytical thought process and ability to interpret findings into actionable insights
- Experienced at working in collaboration with marketing, product and engineering teams in order to solve SEO and user related problem spaces
- Comfortable operating across, Google, Youtube, Yahoo, Yandex etc
