About the Role:
We have an exciting full-time opportunity at Pivotal for a Head of Acquisition/ Head of Performance.
Our client is one of the largest travel aggregators, with Booking.com and KAYAK previously white-labelling their tech. They're private equity backed and have impressive 20% YOY Growth targets.
Reporting to the CMO, the Head of Acquisition will accelerate further growth for the brand, unlocking acquisition in emerging markets and new segments.
This business operates on a truly global level and generates 9 figure revenues, with customers buying from every country but you'll benefit from a close-knit team and agile business which enables progression by promoting more junior talent to Senior/ C level positions from within.
As Head of Acquisition, you’ll:
- Own and optimise £18M in marketing spend, covering PPC (core focus) and SEO. They have also started testing on Social and anticipate this channel will start playing a key role.
- Lead a team of ~10, including PPC specialists, SEO executives, and content writers.
- Report directly into the CMO and collaborate with the Exec Team weekly.
- Be responsible for trading performance, performance reporting, and delivering acquisition strategy across existing and new markets.
- Drive innovation through channel testing, especially in untapped areas like social, commuter segments, Asia expansion, and North African offline-to-online strategies. Thinking about what sort of tests you could run for example to move that market to more online.
This is a commercially critical role with a path to future leadership (potential CMO). You'll be expected to bring strong ambition, a trading-focused mindset, and proven ecommerce performance experience.
What They’re Looking For
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Strong PPC background (essential) and some solid understanding of SEO to effectively manage and challenge reports.
- Experience in high-volume ecommerce or ideally in sectors like travel inhouse.
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking, with a readiness to step up and own growth.
- Leadership experience with a proven ability to manage teams and deliver results.
- Ambition to grow – this is a stepping-stone role into the Exec team.
