DTC/Ecom Start-up
Salary £80,000 + options & benefits
Location: Fully remote, UK.
I am working in partnership with a purpose-driven DTC start-up, a premium dog food business who are looking to disrupt a legacy market. A pioneer in the sector with an innovative and proven product that is taking the market by storm. With some serious growth ambitions, they are investing heavily into their marketing team!
The Opportunity:
- Founded in 2018, the business has developed a great product and now looking to optimise operations.
- This is an early-stage start-up, however, they have recently been acquired by a large manufacturer across 30 EMEA markets.
- They will operate independently, but funding is secured and you can tap into expertise and resource from the parent company (This is a start-up within an established business – with all the exciting upside potential, but little risk attached!).
- A Managing Director with a track record in the banking and investment world, before founding another successful DTC start-up in the US. You would be learning from someone who has already done this.
- This would be a FULLY REMOTE role in the UK, with access to coworking space if desired.
They are looking for a fast-paced, hands-on creative individual to take ownership of our brand management. You will be joining a small team looking to make a big impact. You will be a brand owner, ensuring consistent presentation across all channels, finding creative ways of spreading our message and overseeing all marketing support. Reporting to the CEO you will set the roadmap for building brand awareness and testing different channels and messages.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing the annual marketing plans and brand budget.
- Being creative mind behind the brand, devising messaging and content architecture
- Acting as brand guardian, owning the brand’s tone of voice and ensuring consistency of messaging across all platforms and packaging.
- Managing in-house creatives and processes, working with agencies and partners to deliver content.
- Building brand awareness through partnerships, owned and earned media, sampling and other channels making up the plan.
- Owning retail customer investment plans and supporting the CEO with retail sell-in.
- Driving trial through online and offline activations including mailers, box swaps etc.
Ideal Qualifications
- Proven track record of managing brand and developing creative strategies.
- 5+ years in CPG with exposure to DTC
- Broad experience brand management/marketing management in the omni-channel environment
- Experienced in managing budgets strategically and owning reporting.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, passion for innovation and ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Love for pets!
