Paid Search Director (Amazon),

We’ve come across many Paid Search Director roles, but none quite like this one. It genuinely has everything. Become a real leader in a global network agency? Check. Serious ecommerce strategic involvement? Check. Management? Check. With the autonomy, flexibility and high-level involvement that you will have from day 1, you should massively consider this role.

The Opportunity:

  • Multi-award-winning global network agency
  • Million Pound budgets working on international ecommerce accounts
  • Management of 1 Exec
  • Opportunity to lead and director on strategy and vision for the full department
  • Constant support from Head of Product and other directors in your pod, a genuine leadership team

Your Role:

It will be your role within the ecommerce pod of the business to oversee strategy of ecommerce/amazon search campaigns, be involved in pitches with new and existing clients, managing an up and coming executive, liaising with your team of directors & Head of Product, to how to fully utilise ecommerce and amazon search for their clients.

  • Lead, develop, inspire their activation executives. Championing growth in their role, be accountable for their output, the accuracy of the planning, booking, activation and optimization.
  • Ensuring best-practice activation is the norm - offering the opportunity to expand the teams’ focus within the wide-open space that is ecommerce.
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert for the wider European region on e-retail and Amazon media activation, specifically providing upskilling and pitch support.
  • Collaborate and provide specialist input into our consulting projects for them on Commerce on a local (UK), regional and global level
  • Deliver UNLOCK and light-touch Amazon audits at pace, and you will play an active role in and at times lead strategic consulting engagements with our clients to help them define clear Amazon and ecommerce strategies.
  • Collaborate to continuously improve their offering for the clients: e.g.. identifying industry trends, develop clearly articulated and competitive consulting solutions
  • Co-Manage their relationship at large with Amazon Retail and Amazon Media Group with your Director counterpart.
  • Lead strategy engagements that focus on Amazon, especially for our FMCG client base
  • Actively contribute to the ecomSquad and / or the divisions within so that we can continue to drive what has been called out as a smart representation of the commerce landscape
  • Provide support on product development. Identify areas to further bolster our agency IP and support in the development of proprietary products for social commerce, and last-milers; complimenting existing Amazon tool-set

Your Profile:

  • Amazon Activation – You’ll have knowledge and capabilities of paid media opportunities within the Amazon ecosystem, and you will leverage that to advance our executives learning and development through to the creation & delivery of consultancy that are layered with technical know how
  • Having a Point of View – You’ll demonstrate the capability to develop a POV on technical and sectoral issues
  • Proven experience with data and analytics – You’ll demonstrate competence and confidence in working with data
  • Spotting time-saving efficiencies through to advanced insights being surfaced for our clients
  • Communication – You’ll demonstrate how our Vision, Values and Product’s can be communicated with clarity and impact both internally and externally.
  • Client leadership – Confidence and ability to work independently with clients, write client facing presentations and present accordingly through to identifying issues and escalating and / or resolving as necessary
  • ABA – Amazon Brand Analytics – an understanding of Amazon Brand Analytics would be an advantage as this is the space where client’s attention is turning and as such where our services must be.
  • An understanding of and ability to access and interpret ABA data for the purpose of media activation would be welcomed, but not a mandatory requirement.
    • If this skillset is not native to you, that is ok, we will be looking to you for a hunger and passion to learn and apply your new knowledge to support in the development of our retail consulting practice.
