Is it getting to that stage in your career where you’re looking to be the lead Paid Search person for a global agency, working solely on one of their most highly regarded, multi-million-pound, international accounts? This really is a high-profile position in the agency, so this could be the time be seen making a real difference to Performance Marketing.


The Opportunity:

  • To give some context, they employ over 600 people in the UK & Ireland and is made up of three leading brands
  • It’s an exciting time to be joining them as they have gone through a phenomenal business transformation and a period of growth. 
  • Clients span from well-known ecommerce brands, FMCG, Telecoms, Fintech etc.
  • Leading a team, working closely with the Business Director – directly managing 2 Managers, who both have 3 people working under them  



This is an exciting AD role on one of the largest telecom’s companies in the UK, and one of the largest clients across the company.


The principal elements of the role will be to lead a team of six paid performance specialists and deliver performance according to client requirements and targets. Be responsible for search product/ service delivery and be a senior client contact. You will have autonomy in this role to lead and develop this team so it’s essential you have a proactive attitude and a real hunger for success.  


This is an e-commerce client, so there will be opportunity to work across search and shopping campaigns, and the right candidate will have the opportunity to push the boundaries of innovation, and continue our proud, award winning tracking record for this client.


Further, the Paid Performance Director will be involved in new business – leading research, strategy, output and ultimately representing the agency successfully and professionally in pitches. Of course, you’ll be supported closely by your line manager and the wider strategy/planning teams.



  • 4-5 years’ experience within a Performance remit, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Management experience is essential.
  • Commercial experience – commercial responsibility/exposure for clients or team.
  • Excellent knowledge/experience of paid search strategy. 
  • Must be able to communicate well, interpret Performance marketing to clients and manage client expectations. 
  • Excellent knowledge of industry tools and latest technologies. 
  • Good numeracy skills with strong knowledge/ experience of MS Excel. 
  • Passion for, and a wide understanding of, all aspects of digital media. 
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload across your team. 
  • Excellent communicator – written and verbal, with the ability to present confidently.
