The role

The Paid Media Director (PPC Director) reports to the Head of Paid Media and is responsible for growing, developing, and managing the PPC (Paid Search) team, guiding them to deliver search excellence and growth for our clients and producing a “best-in-class” paid search product. They will work closely with their direct reports, Paid Media Directors, Head of department, client delivery and delivery solutions functions, as well as with clients and contacts at media platforms such as Google. This is a hybrid role, with attendance in the Brighton -or- London office required twice a week.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The day-to-day activities of this role include the following:

• Responsible for leading, developing, and ensuring implementation of appropriate PPC & omnichannel strategies for client growth, working with Strategy and Client Delivery teams

• Produce enterprise level PPC strategies for our clients to deliver against objectives across the team

• Responsible for overseeing performance and leading strategic adjustments to deliver against client targets - Support production and final review/QA of all PPC forecasts

• Own and develop data and audience frameworks, integration, and strategy

• Provide QA and troubleshoot problems and maximise performance

• Define the level of QA expected for PPC and to ensure it meets the high standards iCrossing expects

• Working with Paid Media experts internally or at a third-party agency to deliver parity across Paid Media channels for our clients

• Drive channel cross-sell initiatives, able to present and discuss their impact on PPC

• Present PPC expansion opportunities to clients for new channels ie. AMS/MSAN

• Support the up selling of existing clients with additional services and solutions

• Oversee and review the pipeline of PPC tasks to develop an account with fresh ideas

• Oversee the client roadmaps including BAU and testing, challenging the team to drive innovation

• Lead PPC in QPM, annual, peak time and any other meetings of this nature

• Manage and maintain key senior day to day client relationships

• Conduct monthly check-ins from a channel specific perspective

• Manage the PPC team to effectively handle campaigns, whilst providing training and development opportunities

• Galvanise the PPC team with your prior knowledge, fresh thoughts and passion - Owning the direction of PPC testing, development & innovation roadmaps across all PPC clients

• Responsible for the PPC training programme ensuring enrolment of team and escalating additional training needs when necessary

• Train the team on more advanced tasks such as forecasting - Work with Sr Director/HoD on the development and delivery of the agency’s paid search proposition

• Understanding of client profitability and approaches to manage over servicing

• Own day to day platform relationships (Google/Microsoft) - Working with SEO counterpart to ensure a total search approach is present for all PPC/SEO accounts

 

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who has:

• Proven in-depth Paid Search experience and PPC strategy execution

• Strong ability to work on both PPC only and omnichannel strategies.

• Stakeholder leadership experience at all levels

• The ability to mentor, and provide feedback to your direct reports to ensure that they develop a wealth of experience within PPC, Paid Media and Search

• A role model attitude for your team with strong leadership skills

• Excellent oral & written communication skills

• Outstanding presentation skills both internally and externally

• Excellent attention to detail

• The ability to forward plan for both clients & team

• Cutting edge industry knowledge and technical skills
