Our client is a fast-growing, purpose-led consumer platform trusted by millions of members and thousands of brand partners. Their retail media division is already a £13–15M business and growing fast, with partnerships across food & beverage, travel, fashion, and tech.
They are now seeking a Retail Media Director to take this unique proposition to the next level.
The Opportunity
This is a career-defining role where you’ll:
• Scale an already successful retail media operation while building new propositions for the future.
• Shape strategy across formats, sales enablement, pricing and tooling.
• Unlock significant untapped potential across both global household names and independents.
• Lead cross-functional work with product, marketing, partnerships and data.
• Own the Retail Media P&L and play a pivotal role in the company’s next growth chapter.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
• Define and evolve the retail media roadmap, balancing short-term scale with long-term innovation.
• Identify and launch new ad formats across app, email, CRM and digital channels.
• Develop new propositions for CPG and local independents.
Commercial Ownership
• Own the Retail Media P&L and drive consistent year-on-year growth.
• Equip and enable a large partnerships team to sell retail media effectively.
• Refine pricing strategy and prove ROI for brand partners.
Cross-Functional Influence
• Collaborate with product and engineering to shape the media tech stack.
• Partner with marketing, CRM and content teams to optimise placements.
• Act as the senior voice for retail media within the business, influencing at exec level.
Your Profile
• Proven experience scaling retail media networks, ideally with £20M+ growth trajectories.
• Strong commercial operator with full P&L ownership.
• Cross-functional leader able to align marketing, product, and sales.
• Curious, entrepreneurial, and a first-principles thinker — not a playbook copier.
• Grocery, marketplace, or delivery app experience (e.g. ecommerce, Q-commerce, on-demand delivery) a strong plus.
