As a Founding Director of Pivotal London, I have been at the heart of the Digital Marketing and Media recruitment industry since 2007 where I have successfully built and led multiple top performing teams within permanent and contract recruitment. 

After 2 years in Ad tech & Programmatic, from October 2016 I was responsible for launching Pivotal in to its second market - Digital Marketing - focussing on SEO, PPC and Paid Social roles within Agencies, Brands, & leading ecommerce companies. 

My passion lies within Digital Marketing and Media and as such I have specialised in working with the World’s top Media Agencies, Brands, ecommerce, Publishers and Programmatic Tech companies.  

I am proud to call myself a Cornishman and an honorary Londoner and you will often find me seeking out the best Pasties and Pies in the city – all recommendations welcome. 


Justin Plowman, Founding Director

I have been recruiting in the programmatic and ad technology industry since 2012 and started recruiting in the media sector back in 2008.

I specialise recruiting for programmatic platforms and ad technology vendors (DSP’s, DMP’s, SSP’s, Ad Exchanges, ITD’s, Programmatic TV Vendors, Cross-Device Platforms), Agency Trading Desks, Agencies and Media Owners.

Roles I recruit for are Mid-Senior level Sales, Client Services, Operations, Product and Engineering

I also enjoy spending time consulting exciting US-based companies who have an appetite to launch in London, but require local market expertise to better understand market trends and the talent available in the industry.


Chris Devlin , Founding Director

The knowledge I bring to the role of Founding Director includes over 10 years recruiting and managing successful teams across Content, Creative, Technology, Marketing and Communications.

I have been fortunate to have grown and launched teams in these sectors and my jurisdiction has always been across both permanent and contract recruitment. This experience has allowed me to establish relationships with digitally focussed Media Owners, Publishers, Brands and Agencies.

The everyday challenge of partnering with a business to help them succeed in finding the best talent is a huge motivator for me, whether this be a tech start up or a global media owner. Equally, nothing gives me more satisfaction then supporting a candidate in finding their perfect career opportunity.

Born and raised in Coventry, I moved to London when I was 22. I have two children and I am eternally grateful that they got their looks from their mother.

Before joining Pivotal I spent 4 years within the Media Industry, recruiting into the world of Conferences and Events.

The challenge of working within Digital Media had always interested me. With digital being the growth market and the destination of choice for many media candidates, I knew this was an area I had to get involved in.

I believe in making long lasting relationships built on trust and honesty. Once you have this the role becomes that much more enjoyable and allows for greater success for all involved.

I’m a dedicated Tottenham Hotspur supporter, at the weekends I am most likely to be found watching as much football as I can get away with.

I can safely say since joining Pivotal I’ve learnt something new every day, constantly expanding my knowledge of the digital ad space.

My specialist areas are partnering with renowned Media Owners and Agencies to innovative Ad tech vendors and Programmatic platforms, recruiting across their Sales, Account Management and Tech divisions. I pride myself on developing core relationships with candidates and clients to make processes as enjoyable and stress free as possible.

You’ll regularly see me at the IAB or attending industry events to learn about new trends that are happening in the ever evolving industry of digital advertising.

My area of expertise here at Pivotal is in working with the world’s top Agencies, Trading Desks, Media Owners and Programmatic Platforms. Roles I recruit for are Junior-Mid Level Ad Operations, Traders, Client Services and Account Management; all within the programmatic space.

Connecting talented individuals with their dream companies is something I have a great passion for. On top of that the innovative and dynamic world of digital advertising is something that the team and I always enjoy.

Joining Chris, Justin and Dave in the early stages of Pivotal's journey could not have been a better decision. Hailing from Birmingham, sporting an unidentifiable accent I can either be found working hard at Pivotal HQ or avidly exploring all that East London has to offer.

I started in media a long 11 years ago now, initially selling newspaper ad space. As digital developed I quickly decided I wanted to be in this world and started making the switch. Unfortunately I’m not techy enough for the hands on stuff but I love talking to people about it and learning, so it made sense to help companies find the right talent
I love that it’s so varied and constantly evolving, I’m lucky that it’s a fun industry and I get to meet a lot of great people. The area I am fascinated by and specialise in is marketing – all things search, SEO and social. I have joined Pivotal to help David grow this arm of the business and will look to work with agencies across the board at all levels
Outside of work you’ll mostly find me somewhere with electronic music or in the gym – I am known for travelling overseas for festivals and I’m excited about discovering London nightlife.

Having recently graduated from University, I joined Pivotal as a Talent Engagement Specialist so I could immerse myself in an industry that is fast paced, exciting and at the forefront of innovation.
For me, working in digital advertising and specialising in recruitment across Ad Technology, Programmatic Platforms and Media Agencies and Publishers, enables me to not only connect with and work alongside industry professionals but also means that I am constantly learning and able to stay ahead of the curve.
When I’m not at work I can generally be found uncovering London’s hidden gem food spots- from street food to fine dining or working off my most recent food adventure at a Boom Cycle spin class.
