A leading digital agency, part of the global media giant, are seeking a Client Strategy Lead to cover a maternity leave on a high-profile government account.

The Role

As Client Strategy Lead, you’ll be the strategic linchpin across multiple Government initiatives — driving digital excellence in Content, SEO, Paid Media, Data & Analytics, and Audience Intelligence.

You’ll work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders and talented channel specialists, overseeing everything from integrated campaign planning to performance measurement whilst driving innovation, influence, and delivering meaningful change through connected marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic direction across a suite of public sector accounts, owning annual and campaign strategies.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for innovation and growth, translating client challenges into actionable digital solutions.
  • Drive integrated thinking across multiple digital disciplines, partnering with specialist teams to develop best-in-class solutions.
  • Nurture relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and ambassador for both client and agency values.
  • Represent the agency through award submissions, thought leadership, and (occasionally) new business opportunities.

 

About You

You’re a confident communicator and compelling Strategist with a deep understanding of digital ecosystems.

You’ll need to have:

  • Proven success in leading large-scale, multi-channel digital strategies (ideally with a mix of B2B and B2C exposure).
  • Strong storytelling ability, with the skill to turn complex data into clear, persuasive narratives. Experience working with SEO, Paid Media, Content and Data teams.
  • The ability to build trust, challenge thinking constructively, and maintain strategic clarity.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to solving problems.
