Commercial Development Director – FTC, London
£50k | London based | Running until Jan 2027
We are looking for a Commercial Development Director to join a leading media network on a fixed-term contract until January 2027. This is a hybrid London-based role (2–3 days in office) offering a £50k base, flexible benefits, and the opportunity to step up to Director level while managing a team and working on high-profile client portfolios.
About the Role
You will be part of a Commercial Development team, responsible for alternative investment programmes, principal investments, and commercial partnerships across multiple clients. The role involves supporting the growth of the client portfolio, delivering innovative commercial solutions, and ensuring strong media value.
Key responsibilities include:

Developing and managing new business cases and commercial programmes

Leading client opt-in strategies and commercial negotiations

Managing and coaching junior team members

Coordinating operational output, including trackers, value statements, and reporting

Collaborating with internal teams (planning, trading, finance, legal) to streamline processes
Who We Are Looking For

Recent (last 2–3 years) experience in digital media planning or buying, ideally from an agency or media owner background

Senior Manager ready to step up to Director level

Experience managing a team and working client-facing

Strong commercial acumen, including deal negotiation and business case creation

Comfortable with tools such as Media Ocean, Caria, and Excel

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
