Job Title: Content Strategy Lead

Salary: £45,000–£60,000 + profit share

Location: London (Farringdon – Hybrid, 3 days office / 2 WFH)

Our client is a fast-growing independent media agency blending performance, search, and data to drive measurable growth for brands. With an employee-owned structure and a collaborative, low-ego culture, they’re now expanding their content capability - and are looking for a strategic lead to shape it.

The Opportunity

  • Be the first dedicated content strategy hire, building the function your way
  • Lead content direction across a varied, multi-sector client portfolio, spanning online and offline channels
  • Operate as a consultant and advisor, not a day-to-day content producer
  • Integrate content strategy with paid media, SEO, social, and performance channels
  • Work directly with senior leadership and influence high-level client decisions
  • Join an employee-owned business where success is shared

Responsibilities

  • Develop content strategies, frameworks, and playbooks across digital and traditional channels
  • Run discovery sessions and translate business goals into actionable content plans
  • Present strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure content is aligned with broader paid, search, and performance activity
  • Act as the agency’s subject matter expert for content best practice and innovation
  • Guide internal teams with clear, insight-led direction

Your Profile

  • Experience owning content strategy in agency or in-house environments
  • Strong strategic thinking, creativity, and commercial awareness
  • Confident producing proposals, roadmaps, and client-facing presentations
  • Comfortable advising and challenging clients constructively
  • Naturally organised, proactive, and able to work autonomously
  • Prefer big-picture strategic thinking over hands-on content execution
