Freelance Head of Digital (part time)
A full service agency is looking for an experienced Head of Digital to join on an initial 2-month freelance contract, starting w/c 29th June.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior digital leader to take ownership of the agency's digital function, providing strategic direction, developing teams and ensuring excellent delivery across a diverse portfolio of B2B and B2C clients.
The role
- Initial 2-month contract
- Part-time – 2 days per week
- Hybrid working – 1 day onsite in Manchester, 1 day remote
- Start w/c 29th June
Key responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the agency's digital strategy, aligning it with client objectives and business goals.
- Oversee delivery across Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, eCommerce and analytics.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of digital specialists, creating a high-performing culture.
- Build strong senior client relationships and translate commercial objectives into scalable digital strategies.
- Ensure best practice across planning, activation, reporting and optimisation.
- Support new business pitches, agency growth and wider commercial initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement across digital processes, tools and ways of working.
About you
- Previous experience as a Head of Digital, Digital Director, Head of Performance or similar senior agency-side role.
- Strong understanding of performance marketing, particularly Google Ads/Paid Search alongside Paid Social.
- Experience leading and developing digital teams.
- Commercially minded with experience managing senior client relationships.
- Strong agency background working across multiple B2B and B2C clients.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
