Our client is a specialist ecommerce growth and conversion optimisation business helping DTC and ecommerce brands improve commercial performance across the customer journey.

Historically recognised for CRO and experimentation, the business is now evolving into a broader enterprise ecommerce growth consultancy focused on conversion, customer journey optimisation, retention, AOV and customer value — increasingly supported by AI-enabled delivery and proprietary tooling.

Backed by a wider agency group but still operating with a highly entrepreneurial culture, they are now building a dedicated enterprise capability focused on larger ecommerce brands and more strategic growth engagements.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional “Head of CRO” role.

This is a high-impact opportunity to help build and lead the enterprise growth function within an ambitious ecommerce consultancy moving rapidly upmarket.

The role combines:

  • enterprise ecommerce strategy
  • CRO and customer journey optimisation
  • commercial growth consulting
  • proposition development
  • and strategic client leadership

You’ll work closely with the founders to shape how the business positions, sells and delivers enterprise ecommerce growth programmes to larger ecommerce brands.

The successful candidate will play a key role in:

  • defining the enterprise proposition
  • building strategic partnerships
  • leading enterprise growth conversations
  • winning flagship accounts
  • and eventually scaling the capability and team around the function

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, shaping and scaling services rather than inheriting mature BAU structures.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Growth & Strategy
• Help shape and define the enterprise ecommerce growth proposition
• Identify growth opportunities across conversion, customer journey and retention strategy
• Support the business in moving upmarket into larger ecommerce environments
• Position CRO as part of a broader commercial growth and customer experience strategy

Commercial & Client Leadership
• Support and lead enterprise pitches and strategic client conversations
• Build relationships with senior ecommerce and marketing stakeholders
• Translate optimisation and customer insight into commercial recommendations
• Work closely with founders on go-to-market strategy and enterprise growth plans

Partnerships & Proposition Development
• Build relationships across relevant ecommerce and optimisation ecosystems
• Help shape how the business partners with platforms, tools and complementary service providers
• Influence how AI-enabled delivery and optimisation services evolve over time
• Contribute to long-term capability and team development

Your Profile
• Strong background within CRO, ecommerce optimisation or digital experience strategy
• Experience working with enterprise ecommerce or consumer brands
• Commercially minded with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Exposure to strategic pitches, consulting or proposition development
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and shape functions from early stage
• Broader understanding of customer journey optimisation, personalisation and ecommerce growth strategy beyond standalone experimentation
