Head of Performance Marketing

London | Hybrid, 3 days in office | Permanent

Our client is one of Europe’s fastest-growing consumer brands, having scaled rapidly from a disruptive DTC challenger into a global, omnichannel business.

Now backed by one of the world’s leading consumer groups, the business is entering its next phase of growth — expanding internationally, building new categories, strengthening its retail footprint and continuing to invest heavily in digital acquisition.

They are now looking for a Head of Performance Marketing to lead the next evolution of their global performance function.

The Opportunity

Join a high-growth consumer business at a genuine inflection point.

  • Own a significant global performance marketing budget across the UK, US and Europe.
  • Lead an established team spanning paid media, performance creative/UGC and affiliates & partnerships.
  • Shape how performance marketing evolves as the business moves from predominantly DTC into an increasingly omnichannel model.
  • Work closely with senior marketing leadership with significant visibility across the wider business.
  • Build a more sophisticated approach to creative testing, attribution, incrementality and AI-enabled performance marketing.
  • Take on a senior leadership role while remaining genuinely close to the craft of performance marketing.

Responsibilities

Performance Strategy & Commercial Ownership

  • Own the global performance marketing strategy and budget across multiple markets.
  • Take accountability for key commercial metrics including CAC, payback, ROAS and revenue contribution.
  • Connect channel performance to wider customer economics including LTV, retention and profitability.
  • Partner with senior leadership to shape investment decisions and broader growth strategy.
  • Lead forecasting, budget allocation and performance planning across international markets.

Paid Media & Channel Excellence

  • Set the strategy across Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube and emerging channels.
  • Maintain a highly hands-on understanding of account structure, campaign performance and optimisation.
  • Challenge and develop the team on platform best practice, testing frameworks and execution.
  • Identify new channel opportunities and lead experimentation across different markets.
  • Build strong senior relationships with key platform partners.

Performance Creative & UGC

  • Lead the performance creative operating model across the business.
  • Work closely with the internal UGC team to increase creative volume, quality and hit rate.
  • Build structured testing frameworks across hooks, formats, messaging and audiences.
  • Translate performance insights into creative briefs and scalable content strategies.
  • Bring genuine curiosity around consumer behaviour, trends and emerging creative formats.

Measurement & Experimentation

  • Continue to mature the organisation’s approach to attribution and incrementality.
  • Design and evaluate testing frameworks including geo testing, lift studies and platform experimentation.
  • Develop a clear view of performance beyond platform-reported attribution.
  • Help the business understand how digital investment contributes to an increasingly omnichannel customer journey.
  • Use measurement insight to influence budget allocation and strategic decision-making.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop a talented team across paid media, UGC and affiliates & partnerships.
  • Coach relatively junior performance marketers while maintaining a high execution bar.
  • Create clarity, accountability and strong operating rhythms across the function.
  • Build a culture of experimentation, pace and continuous improvement.
  • Operate confidently with senior stakeholders and contribute to wider marketing leadership discussions.

AI & Automation

  • Champion an AI-first approach across performance marketing.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting, analysis, creative production and campaign workflows.
  • Embed AI into both personal working practices and team operating models.
  • Develop a clear point of view on how AI will reshape performance marketing over the next two to three years.

Your Profile

  • Significant experience in performance marketing, acquisition or growth within a fast-growth consumer, DTC or ecommerce environment.
  • Strong hands-on expertise across Meta and Google, with additional experience across TikTok, YouTube or other paid channels beneficial.
  • Track record of owning and scaling significant paid media budgets.
  • Experience operating across multiple international markets; US exposure is highly desirable.
  • Established people manager with experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong commercial understanding of CAC, ROAS, LTV, payback and wider unit economics.
  • Confident working with performance creative, UGC or content teams.
  • Experience with attribution, incrementality or experimentation frameworks.
  • Comfortable balancing strategy and leadership with hands-on execution.
  • Curious, commercially minded and comfortable operating at pace in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Genuine interest in AI and how it can improve the performance marketing operating model.
  • Experience across affiliates, influencers or partnerships would be an advantage.
