Freelance Paid Media Buyer (Meta & Google ads)

Rate: £300 per day
Contract: Freelance, outside IR35
Commitment: Two days per week for an initial couple of months
Start: ASAP
Location: Flexible working arrangements; some time in the Southwark office preferred

We’re working with a growing DTC sports nutrition brand looking for an experienced freelance Paid Media Buyer to take hands-on ownership of its Meta and Google advertising.

This is a delivery-focused role. You’ll work directly in both platforms, manage spend within agreed budgets and make practical decisions to keep customer acquisition on track. Black Friday will be an important part of the engagement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing, launching and optimising campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.
  • Reviewing account structure, bidding and budget allocation.
  • Monitoring spend and performance against CAC, ROAS and other agreed targets.
  • Recommending when to increase, maintain or reduce spend.
  • Working with the Creative Strategist to set testing priorities and feed performance insights into future creative.
  • Reporting weekly on results, decisions and next steps.
  • Flagging tracking, landing page or conversion issues to the relevant internal team.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Growth, who will agree budgets and commercial priorities with you. Creative briefs and production sit with the Creative Strategist.

What we’re looking for

  • Recent, hands-on experience managing both Meta and Google Ads for DTC or ecommerce brands.
  • Confidence making budget decisions against commercial targets, particularly CAC.
  • Experience improving account structure and running useful creative or campaign tests.
  • Experience managing paid media through Black Friday or a comparable peak trading period.
  • Clear communication and the ability to keep work moving within a part-time engagement.

Brand-side experience is preferred, but strong agency candidates with direct responsibility for DTC account performance are welcome. Experience in sport, nutrition, wellness or subscriptions would be useful, but isn’t essential.
