Paid Media Analyst (Data Science) Up to £55,000 Hybrid (London, 3 days in office)
Our client is a global travel aggregator powerhouse, generating over £300M in annual revenue across 4,000 routes in 95 countries. They are a data-first organisation, transforming complex travel infrastructure into a seamless, smarter, and more connected customer experience on a massive scale.
The Opportunity
- Bridge to Data Science: A unique role designed for quantitative thinkers looking to transition from marketing analytics into advanced data science and applied engineering.
- Massive Datasets: Access a rich, real-world data environment—merging global search data with internal revenue, margins, and customer behaviour.
- Technical Innovation: Move beyond standard reporting to build performance models, anomaly detection, and automated data pipelines using Python and SQL.
- Scientific Experimentation: Design and lead structured programmes, including causal inference and incrementality testing, to influence multi-million-pound commercial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Advanced Analytics: Use SQL and Python to query complex datasets, identifying performance drivers across Google and Microsoft Ads.
- Model Development: Build analytical frameworks to evaluate AI-driven bid strategies and automate manual processes via scripts and APIs.
- BI Architecture: Develop scalable self-serve dashboards in Looker Studio, underpinned by robust, sophisticated data models.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the technical bridge between paid media specialists and the core Data Science and Engineering teams.
Your Profile
- Quantitative Background: 3+ years in an analytical role with a degree or background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Data Science.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills and hands-on Python experience (pandas/NumPy) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Statistical Rigour: A solid understanding of experimentation design, A/B testing, and performance measurement logic.
- Commercially Minded: The ability to translate complex "black box" insights into clear, actionable strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
