The Role

We're looking for a GEO Content Strategist to help shape how brands create and structure content for the next generation of search.

Search is evolving beyond traditional SEO. AI-powered platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity are changing how people discover information, creating new opportunities for brands to build visibility and authority.

This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO). You'll help clients develop content strategies that perform across both traditional search engines and AI-generated responses, working closely with SEO specialists, analysts and strategists to turn insights into action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop content strategies that improve visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered platforms.
  • Conduct content and GEO audits, turning insights into practical recommendations for clients.
  • Build topic clusters, content frameworks and SEO-led content plans.
  • Research AI search trends and optimise content for emerging search experiences.
  • Support client workshops, strategy sessions and presentations.
  • Monitor GEO performance, analyse results and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with SEO specialists, analysts and strategists to deliver integrated content strategies.
  • Contribute to new business proposals and the ongoing development of GEO best practices.

About You

You'll have experience in content strategy, SEO content, editorial or digital marketing and be excited by the future of AI-powered search.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in content strategy, SEO, editorial or digital marketing.
  • Agency, consultancy or in-house marketing experience.
  • Strong understanding of SEO content planning, keyword research and topic clustering.
  • Excellent writing, communication and structured thinking skills.
  • Comfortable using data and insights to inform content decisions.
  • Experience with SEO, content research or AI tools to identify opportunities.

Desirable

  • Experience using AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity.
  • A genuine interest in Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and the future of search.
  • Knowledge of technical SEO fundamentals.
  • Understanding of structured data, AI crawlability and citation optimisation.
  • Experience with reporting or data visualisation platforms.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce content strategy.
