A leading network agency are searching for a senior planning professional to lead category-level communications strategy across one of the worlds most recognisable FMCG brands! 

This role sits at the centre of a complex global network, partnering with senior marketing leaders, agency teams, analytics specialists and local market stakeholders to create audience-first communications frameworks that drive growth across multiple regions. It offers the chance to have a genuine impact on the paid media communications for a huge, global CPG brand.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and embedding best-in-class planning approaches that translate business objectives into scalable communications strategies.

You will act as the link between global strategy and local execution, ensuring that planning frameworks, channel strategies and measurement approaches can be effectively applied across diverse international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated communications strategies for global brand and category initiatives.
  • Create audience-led planning frameworks covering channel roles, communications architecture and investment principles.
  • Shape annual planning recommendations, including media allocation frameworks and market prioritisation approaches.
  • Lead strategic planning for major global campaigns and central marketing programmes.
  • Define the role of channels, platforms and partnerships within broader communications ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with analytics, performance and measurement specialists to establish learning frameworks and effectiveness standards.
  • Build strong relationships with agency, marketing and platform partners.
  • Support local market teams in applying global strategic frameworks.
  • Drive knowledge sharing and planning excellence across international teams.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of global operating models and ways of working.

 

About You

You will be a senior communications strategist with experience operating within large, matrixed organisations and navigating multiple stakeholder groups.

Key requirements include:

  • Significant experience in communications planning, media strategy or integrated marketing strategy.
  • Strong audience-first planning expertise and client leadership experience
  • Experience creating scalable strategic frameworks and planning methodologies.
  • Proven success working across international markets and stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of media effectiveness, performance marketing and measurement.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-moving environments.
