This is a senior client leadership role, responsible for shaping media strategy across multiple international markets. You'll work closely with senior client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive strategic thinking, optimise media investment, and ensure best practice across regional and local teams. This Category Lead role offers the opportunity to influence business decisions at a global level while working on one of the industry's most significant international accounts. The Role As Category Lead, you'll act as the senior strategic partner for your client, providing thought leadership across media strategy, planning, investment, measurement and innovation. Working across a complex international organisation, you'll ensure global category strategies are effectively translated into local market execution while identifying opportunities to improve performance across brands and markets. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of category-level media strategies across multiple international markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a trusted strategic advisor. Shape media investment recommendations across brands, portfolios and markets. Drive collaboration between global, regional and local teams to ensure strategic alignment and consistent execution. Develop strategic frameworks and best-practice guidance to support market implementation. Monitor campaign performance, competitive activity and media trends to identify opportunities for growth. Lead regular business reviews, presenting strategic recommendations and performance insights to senior stakeholders. Provide guidance on measurement frameworks, testing roadmaps and innovation programmes. About You The team are looking for an experienced media professional with a strong background in strategic planning and senior client leadership within a media agency environment, who also has a strong understanding of the CPG landscape. Extensive experience in media strategy and planning. Experience of working on FMCG / CPG clients is integral for this role. Strong understanding of international media markets and the evolving media landscape. Experience leading senior client relationships across complex, multi-market organisations. A commercial mindset. Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills. Experience across integrated media channels, including digital and performance media. The ability to manage multiple strategic workstreams simultaneously.
